Dear Parents,

From 1st September 2015 we are changing the way that we collect subs. The Group Executive has decided that it would be easier to collect subs by a quarterly standing order system giving set dates of payments rather than trying to pay different amounts each half term.

The payments will be £25 per quarter payable on 15th September, December, March and June, totalling £100 for the year. This is actually a reduction in the cost you have been paying weekly and will be kept at this amount until the end of our accounts year in March 2016 when we will re look at our financial position. We do not wish for any child not to attend because of financial constraints so it is important that you speak to your section leader immediately if subs become overdue or you are concerned about payment so we can make appropriate arrangements. If a child’s subs become overdue by more than one quarter and you have not contacted us then your child’s membership may be suspended at the discretion of the Group Scout Leader until an agreement has been reached to resolve the situation.

As we are a voluntary organisation subs are needed to pay for the running costs of the Group, the yearly membership insurance for each child and to replace equipment needed for each session and any camps we run. Fundraising will also be done as and when required to help with larger projects.

Each family will need to set up a standing order from their own bank account to the following account as soon as possible:
Sort Code: 30-98-44
Account Number: 01818766 – 6th Tamworth Scout Group
Reference: Your child’s Name

To boost our funds further we require everyone who is able to fill out a gift aid form so that we can claim an extra 25p from the Inland Revenue for every £1 in subs you pay. This is free for you; we just need your signature for authorisation so if you haven’t yet filled one out please do so.

If you have any question please don’t hesitate to ask.

With regards

Jane Rowley
Group Treasurer
